Hi, my name is Lisa and I am the reborn artist who creates the dolls at Baby Mine Nursery. I was never more excited than when I discovered reborn dolls. They are so realistic looking and when well done, are heirloom quality. One of the things I found lacking, however, was a variety of ethnic complexions that make up the human race. I decided to create the dolls that I did not often see on auction sites and from other dollmakers. My idea is to make affordable dolls of quality and to offer ethnic choices to collectors. In that, I have been successful. One of my customers once said to me,"Your dolls look like what we really are, not European, not African, but a blending of the two."
Quality vinyl dolls, permanent dyes and oil paints, realistic glass or acrylic replacement eyes, new jointed cloth bodies, human hair, synthetic mohair wigs, as well as mohair wigs and hair (for rooting) are only some of the supplies I use to recreate each doll. Added to that, newly purchased real baby clothes and accessories only enhance the wonderful effect of the reborn doll.
